Jonathan and Maggie met at Moody Bible Institute. After finishing their undergraduate education, they married in 2010. The Hunters have been missionaries since 2012. From 2013 - 2021, they served as the directors of the International Youth Group in San Jose, Costa Rica. After a wonderful season serving MKs and TCKs, God led the Hunter family to pursue advanced training for theological education and ministry. Crossing the pond in September 2022, Jonathan will begin PhD research in New Testament at the University of St Andrews.

Maggie grew up in a small town Northeast of Atlanta surrounded by cousins and extended family. She realized God was calling her into ministry in elementary school and never looked back. Maggie loves being outside and connecting with people. Recently, Maggie has enjoyed the role of a tutor at the local Classical Conversations homeschool group.

Jonathan grew up in South America as a missionary kid. His dad was involved in theological education among an indigenous people group in Ecuador, and his mom was involved in prison ministry. Jonathan realized God was leading him into ministry in high school, and like Maggie, never looked back. Jonathan also enjoys the outdoors (especially places with great views), and conversations on philosophy, theology, and culture.

The Hunters have three energetic children under 12.
